Most youngsters, at the age of 18, still don’t know how to play poker, but even if they do they’re not considered great players. After all, one important factor that may affect your poker skills, whether online or at a local card room, is the experience gathered in previous games that you’ve played. All of that didn’t seem to matter to 18 year old Will Ma, a Canadian online poker player who has just won the Grand Prix de Paris last weekend. The new champ, who is better known online as cuteipi312, is even more impressive when taking into account the fact that he beat some pretty serious poker professionals in his way to the title.
Even though most people at his age only dream of such amounts of money, this young and gifted online poker player received for the win a check of more than 420,000 Euros – not bad at all! The other three runner-ups also got away with nice checks: Runnar Runarsson, the second, received a bit more than 220,000 Euros, David Redlin won 158,000 Euros and the fourth, Ram Vaswani, took home 105,000 Euros.
In his way to the big prize, Ma has to beat some of the 132 tough poker players that started the tournament, including David Banyamine, Roland de Wolfe and Freddie Deeb. Even though it was his first ever live poker tournament, this Ontario-based online poker player is proving to be one of the best poker players worldwide, even at this young age. Be sure to remember his name – you’ll surely hear it again in the near future.
