For a long time now, consulting firm MECN has received frequent inquiries regarding the current status of privatization in the gambling industry. The successful listing on the stock exchange of the privatized OPAP as well as planned privatizations, such as those in Great Britain, Germany, and Turkey, are increasingly drawing the attention of the whole industry.

The current study "Privatization of State-Controlled Gambling Operators", was a first step toward filling the great need for information. The new informational website now complements the study.
