After many months of speculations all around the online casino industry, Cryptologic has finally announced this week that Javaid Aziz will become the company’s next CEO and president. Cryptologic, which was founded by brothers Andrew and Mark Rivkin in 1995 from the basement of their parent's house, is considered today one of the four largest online casino software suppliers in the industry. The company has recently changed its head office location from Toronto, Canada to Dublin, Ireland, and Jaziz is expected to move there soon. A lot of rumors have been brought up since Lewis Rose, the former CEO and president of the company, decided to step down from his role, but it seems as all of that will stop now.
Even though he has little experience in the online casino industry, Javaid Aziz will bring to Cryptologic 30 years of technology management, as he has served in the past as chief executive of IBM UK. Following this high powered position he went on to found Aspective Ltd., a leading wireless application service provider and consulting firm. Following the announcement, the successful online casino software provider plans to hold a special meeting of shareholders in May, in order to approve the reconstitution of the company into a United Kingdom company resident in Ireland, whose shares will be listed on the Toronto Stock Exchange, NASDAQ Global Select Market and the London Stock Exchange
“Cryptologic is without a doubt a pioneer in the online casino business, and I’m proud to be a part of it. I’m really excited to have been given the opportunity to lead this company in its expansion through Europe and Asia” said Aziz recently, knowing that in order to succeed he will have to continue the wonderful job that Rose did with this rapidly growing online casino software supplier
