It only seems as the logical thing to do, but it's also a fact that nobody has tried to do it until now. Finally, it seems now that two politicians from the state of Nevada will lead a thorough investigation to determine whether online casino site can be effectively regulated in the United States. The two Nevada lawmakers, Reps. Shelley Berkley, D-Nev., and Jon Porter, R-Nev., will co-sponsor the legislation, which is expected to be unveiled within weeks. In addition, work has already started on a legislation that would require the National Academy of Sciences to conduct an 18-month study of online gambling and online casino sites.

Hopefully, those two Nevadans will not be alone. Rep. Barney Frank, D-Mass, who I also chairman of the powerful House Financial Services Committee and a longtime critic of gambling restrictions, will probably be one of their closes allies in this battle. Just recently, Frank called the anti-online casino law as "preposterous" and "one of the stupidest laws ever passed". The whole online casino industry hopes that with the help of these three politicians something still can be done to save the situation

"The sole purpose of our bill is to provide a comprehensive study with detailed information on the expanded growth of Internet gambling and online casino sites around the web" says Berkley. "I've already talked with Barney Frank about the online gambling situation, and we expect to meet soon in the near future" he added. It seems right now as they might be the US online casino industry's last hope.
