Fraternities and sororities will be hosting each tour stop featuring a charity No-Limit Texas Hold "Em poker tournament where students and friends can compete for cash prizes while supporting worthy charities. The inaugural event will be hosted at the University of California, Los Angeles on October 16th, 2004 and is being presented by College Poker Championship.
Each stop on the "Go All N Tour" will feature a weeklong series of events on campus including live band performances and themed bar nights. "The framework of each event is perfect," said All N Poker CEO and UCLA alumnus William Hunt. "We make it logistically easy for host organizations to put on the event, while they get positive exposure and an opportunity to support a charity. We look forward to introducing our brand within a targeted demographic throughout the country," Hunt added.
Participants in the tournaments will have additional motivation besides supporting charity and the thrill of competition. Top finishers out of the 250 competitors at each event will receive prize money. Win or lose, all university students in America can still register and play in the 2nd Annual College Poker Championship. Participation is free at www.collegepokerchampionship.com and provides college students with the opportunity to play their hands at the hottest game around and vie for over $100,000 in scholarship prize money; 10 all-expense-paid trips to Cancun, Mexico during Spring Break and the chance to raise money for their favorite charity.
"From fraternity houses to dorm rooms, colleges everywhere have a fine poker-playing tradition. It seems natural to hold a poker tournament where students from all colleges can come together and test their skills, while competing for huge scholarship awards," explains Lou Krieger, renowned professional poker player and best-selling author. "College Poker ChampionshipTM gives any college student the chance to be a champion and walk away with thousands of dollars!"
Additional tour sponsorships are still available for companies interested in tapping the college market. "The brand is fun and in your face. You need a certain mindset to wear apparel that says "DOMINATE THE TABLE" in bold letters," states All N Poker"s Chief Financial Officer Ryan Maloney. "We"re looking to partner with companies that realize the value of associating their brand with No-Limit Texas Hold "Em in the college market.
