Ed McMahon, world re-known host and announcer, and James Cameron,
academy award winning director, producer, and writer will be
roasted and honored at the Fourth Annual Tom Arnold Celebrity Roast
on Friday, October 29, 2004 at the Beverly Hills Hotel. The comedic
evening will benefit the Kayne Eras Center in Culver City, CA. The
Kayne Eras Center is a state certified, non-public school that
provides an alternative to public school placement for children who
are "at risk" of not succeeding in the mainstream because of
disabilities or negative circumstances in which they live. It was
founded in 1980 by Barbara Cull who recognized the gap that existed
in education resources and services for special needs children and
their families. Mr. McMahon and Mr. Cameron will get an earful from
the participating roasters, who include Phyllis Diller and Stan
Winston, Academy Award winning character creator of the Jurassic
Park, Alien, and Terminator figures. Other big name roasters will
be announced shortly The evening will begin at 6:30pm with a
reception, followed by dinner and a live auction with Tom Arnold as
the celebrity auctioneer. The roast will be at 9pm. All of the
proceeds raised from these donated items will go towards The
Kayne-Eras Center. Past honorees are Budd Friedman, Pat O'Brien,
Stan Winston, Leslie Moonves, and Steve Tisch. Chairs for the event
are Tom Arnold, Alec Gores, Stephen Shapiro and Steve Tisch.
