Wouldn’t it be cool if you could play at an online casino, from the comfort of your home, while feeling that you’re at a real casino table ? If things go as planned, you might be able to do exactly that with the new, and first, 3D widescreen monitor, which promises to transform the whole viewing experience into a much more pleasant and exciting one. Neurok Optic, a San Diego based company, was the one to come up with this new invention, which will also require a special polarized eyeglasses in order to “feel” the full experience. While the online gambling industry surely isn’t the only who will enjoy this new 3D monitor, there’s no doubt that playing a casino game on 3D is a totally different experience
The monitor, which will cost at first around $1000, can also be used as a regular monitor, featuring a maximum resolution of 1680 x 1050 pixels, a 5ms response time and a contrast ratio of 800:1. In addition, the monitor will come with specific drivers to be compatible with the latest video card accelerators, like Nvidia Geforce 8 Series and the ATI’s FireGL V3600.
“More content is being produced in 3D but most viewers were unable, until now, to see the game or movie as it meant to be” said Thomas Striegler, CEO of Neurok Optics. Even though Striegler sound pretty confident, only time will tell if this new invention will catch up and really transform the way we watch movies or play at the online casino. If it does succeed in that, start preparing yourself for a totally new experience – a three dimensional one.
