The monitor, which will cost at first around $1000, can also be used as a regular monitor, featuring a maximum resolution of 1680 x 1050 pixels, a 5ms response time and a contrast ratio of 800:1. In addition, the monitor will come with specific drivers to be compatible with the latest video card accelerators, like Nvidia Geforce 8 Series and the ATI’s FireGL V3600.

“More content is being produced in 3D but most viewers were unable, until now, to see the game or movie as it meant to be” said Thomas Striegler, CEO of Neurok Optics. Even though Striegler sound pretty confident, only time will tell if this new invention will catch up and really transform the way we watch movies or play at the online casino.
